Maria graduated with a degree in Software Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. With around five years of experience as a software engineer, she has worked with professionals from various cultures and industries. Her growing interest in the visual aspects of web design, and how user interfaces shape user experiences, led her to explore areas for improvement in web usability.

Maria recently joined the Kansei Lab, where she hopes to focus her research on evaluating the websites of Japanese universities. She plans to investigate how international students perceive these websites and identify design features that evoke positive emotions, potentially influencing their decision-making process when choosing a university.
