Muneo Kitajima is a cognitive scientist that covers cognitive modeling, information science and artificial intelligence. He is a professor at the Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan. Dr. Kitajima has been a researcher with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology since 1980. He was a research associate at the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1991. He received his Doctorate in Engineering from the University of Waseda in 1986, and a BS and MS in Physics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1978 and 1980, respectively. He moved to Nagaoka University of Technology in 2011 as a professor.
