Abril graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. She believes that design is a powerful tool for creating positive change in the world, emphasizing empathy and inclusion for both users and the environment in every project.

Her first encounter with LeeLab in 2021 sparked her desire to further her education in this laboratory. Currently, her research aims to understand how the integration of neurotechnologies and biometric technologies can improve the effectiveness of design methodologies and the quality of design outcomes.
